Jessica Costantine (founder and teacher) earned a M.A. as a Reading Specialist from Teachers College, Columbia University and her B.S. in Art Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo State College. Her experience as a reading teacher and an art teacher have infused her teaching with creativity and an appreciation for visual learners.
While teaching in San Diego, she instructed reading and writing, as well as supported a Special Education program. In New York, she developed interventions for at-risk students to improve their literacy skills at the Center for Educational and Psychological Services at Teachers College. Upon completion of a Master's degree, she became a Learning Specialist at The Berkeley Carroll School (an independent school in Brooklyn), where she taught for seven years. In Jersey City, she broadened her experience as the Learning Specialist and Literacy Coordinator at a local Montessori School. Jessica continues to refine her craft and completed both the Reading and Writing Institute at Teachers College.
As the mother of two young sons in Jersey City, she appreciates and values family life in an urban setting. Her pastimes include travel, photography, and the outdoors.
